The Eko-skola team has promoted seasonal eating and has produced a 2025 calendar that was sold recently. These calendars shall be available for purchase at the Ekoskola stand during the Open Evening on 12th February at €12. Anyone who tries our recipes can share them with our school community by using the following tag: #bcssseasonaleating
Our students are also learning about the importance of bees in our world which led them to write a letter to all of Gozo’s mayors asking them to plant more bee-attracting plants in the villages. Their suggestions also included water-drinking fountains and misters to relief the scorching heat in the summer months for local residents and visitors.
On 13th March the ekoskola team shall be organising a uniform free day (wearing something green is recommended). A fee shall be collected which will be used by our Ekoskola team to improve our school. All paying students will get a ticket upon entering the school and during the break a raffle shall take place where winners shall choose their preferred Stanley cups. (See photo of the prizes). This is a subtle reminder to always use reusable products and avoid single use plastics at all costs.
