An inspiring visit to our school

We were honoured to welcome Dr Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, to our school.

During her visit, Dr Metsola met our students in the school grounds and addressed our Form 4 and Form 5 students, engaging them in an insightful discussion on a range of topics.

Among the issues discussed were the importance of women’s participation in politics, the challenges of balancing family life with political responsibilities, and the values of kindness and resilience. She also highlighted the fundamental purpose of politics: improving people’s lives, creating employment opportunities and making a positive difference to countries and their citizens.

Her visit provided our students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insights into leadership and public service, while reflecting on the importance of empathy, perseverance and active citizenship in shaping a better society.

We thank Dr Metsola for taking the time to visit our school and for sharing her experiences and perspectives with our students. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences and to encourage our young people to play an active role in their communities and in Europe’s future.
